Karen and I took a week away to enjoy the Melia Caribe Beach Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort is all-inclusive, which meant that we could enjoy a wide variety of cuisines from local to international. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the complex was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment, which included live music and theater shows.
One of the chefs took special interest and made sure that Craig had his choice of special-order lamb chops, steaks and prime rib during the lunch service. It is always surprising to discover just how genuinely nice some people can be.
The clear blue water and relaxing beach provided the perfect backdrop for a week of rest and relaxation. We also intended to take advantage of the non-motorized water sports, including kayaking and catamaran sailing. However, we decided that relaxation was what we needed most. So… with that in mind, we headed to the spa for relaxing massages.
We were renewed by spending a week at this resort and we would highly recommend it.
